These "La Estrella" enameled Paella Pans are made of pure steel. The enamelled layer protects them and provides easy maintenance. Same as the polished steel paella pans, it can be used with gas, open timber fire, or in the oven (but never in microwave oven).   * If you want to use your paella pan in the oven take into account the size.

Storage and Care:

  • How to Clean a Paella Pan: After using the paella pan, allow it to cool slightly. Avoid immersing it in cold water while it is still hot to prevent warping. Wash with warm water and a soft sponge to remove food residue. To avoid damage, do not use metallic scouring pads or abrasive detergents that may scratch the surface.
  • If residue remains, boil water in the paella pan with a little vinegar to loosen the residue. Then use a wooden or silicone spatula to gently scrape off the residue and dry completely with a clean cloth.
  • To prevent rust, apply a thin coat of vegetable oil to the surface of the paella pan after cleaning. This is especially important for iron or carbonized steel paella pans.
  • Store the paella pan in a dry, well-ventilated place to prevent moisture that can cause rusting. Avoid storing in damp places such as under the sink.
  • If you stack the paella pan with other cookware, place a cloth between them to prevent scratches. This is especially important if you have several utensils in a small space.
